I absolutely loved the sound effects and timing of the scares - really great job!

I'm very curious about the creature with the scratchy nails! I kept expecting a goblin or something to jump out at me 😂

Hey, I included your game in my latest Itch.io Horror Games video! The part with your game starts around 13:42! Hope you enjoy the video if you decide to check it out! Cheers!

Okay, walking simulator with some "thinking" involved... and JUMPSCARES that actually worked. Right off the bat, Jumpscare lol. Here's my gameplay... I loved how it played and this proved you didn't need those "in your face" jumpscares to make a game scary. You can skip to 00:52 to skip the intro, but you wouldn't do that (: Oh... and please subscribe and like. (:

Wow that was awesome! Loved the design and spooks! I was so frightened with the faces behind doors section :D Here's my little playthrough (Polish language) Cheers!

loved this so much! Please check out my play through below x

Awesome game, has a strong future.

I really liked this game! it had great atmosphere and the story was captivating the moments were very greatly designed and it gave me a overall sense of uneasiness! great job!

Rather enjoyed the whole experience.  I think it's a great start to an even bigger project.  Hope to see more from you :)

What a strange, interesting horror experience. Way more polish than you typically get out of these types of games; really enjoyed the environments and the sound design!

Pros and cons are down below) Check my vid here (likes and subs are highly appreciated)):

Advantages:

1. There were some very creepy parts that I liked and found interesting. I absolutely loved the spook with the rooms slamming near the end, the area with the pool and the start of the game as well. Though, I think there is so much more that could be done to increase the spook factor!

2. I love that there are lots of pieces or lore everywhere. I didn't understand anything, though ahah. But it was fun reading the notes and solving puzzles. I think it's cool that everything is connected to the vision and eyes and "seeing it all" stuff.

Disadvantages:

1. Well, as I've mentioned before, there is a lot that could be done to make the game scrier. I think it would be nice to add something in the pool area. The area itself is sooo creepy and promising so it is such a disappointment that nothing really happens there. I saw that the game is still in development so here I want to suggest a couple of things that could be done and that came to my mind: it would be really cool if one of the statues would keep a secret (if it would be alive or something like that). The player would be able to notice that if the statue wouldn't have a shadow and after discovering the secret it could start stalking the player or constantly looking at them. Something like that would be so cool to see! (It's just a suggestion but I hope it will inspire you!)

2. As I've mentioned before, I didn't really understand the story. It's not necesseraly a disadvantage but I think it would be cooler to see the notes and eyes to play a bigger role. For example, it would be awesome if the game would have secret invisible rooms that can be entered only if the player is walking backwards facing their back to the secret entrance. And that would be able to be found by following the sight of eyes that are all around the game. For example, the eyes on the paintings or the bed could mean so much more if these secret rooms would be a thing. (again, it's just a suggestion).

3. In the final room, the player can actually peep behind the curtains. That spoils the surprise and intrigue a bit so I guess it would be nicer if the player wouldn't be able to do that or if that would mean more. For example, if the player sits in the chair - they die but if they peep behind the curtains, they can see this weird eye thing and the chase scene triggers so player could get a different ending.

Overall:

I think it was a pretty cool experience, especially as a demo. I think it's a promising game and I can't wait to see it developed further. As for now, I rate Cabaret 4/5 stars as is)

Hope my feedback was useful!

Cool lil game. Really enjoyed myself but only thing I dont like is the copyright content (the vinyl record) you used for the game. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for playing!!

Your welcome keep up the great work!

I enjoyed this game a lot it wasn't your typical jumpscare, it made me feel paranoid. If you would like to see my playthrough here it is:

enjoy 🖖

Thank you!

The design of the game looks nice. and gameplay is scary so far can't wait till it fully releases.

Thank you so much!!

Looooved the visuals! I can't wait for the full game. It's scary but not stupid scary and that's good. Good job, man!

Thanks:)

Very nice art concept ive felt like the eye situation wasnt used in a productive way too much for the amount of teasing in the hotel room but still a cool short game.

here my playthrough in german.

will definitely improve that in future updates!! thanks for playing:)

Thanks!

A visually stunning game. I would have liked to see more story, but what I've seen so far is interesting and has promise. I had to mute out the record player from the video due to a copyright claim (which I thought was odd) so just an F.Y.I. there. Anyway, very cool game and I hope to see a longer version of Cabaret in the future. Great work, Fire9788!

That part of music wasn't original so that's why... :( I'll replace it in future updates!! Thank you for playing!

I love this game’s art direction! I look forward to learning more about the story and protagonist. But in the meantime, I enjoyed the game’s themes and am now curious as to how they tie into the plot.

This was fantastic! Insanely creepy, but no in-your-face scares, which I very much enjoyed. The pacing, atmosphere, and level design were all top level. This was a masterpiece crammed into a 15 minute game. I loved this. Great work!
